Annual Server Gathering 29/7/2006

We got d "most Obiang Team"

Attended d ASG 2day. Only managed 2 take dis 3 pics. Too engross in d games until 4got abt d camera. Anyway, i collected my 10 yr long service award from d hands of Ps Chin. And also, surprisingly, our team got d 'most Obiang Team'. Whether we win or didn't win, it really doesn't matter. Everyone enjoyed d fun of dolling ourselves and participate as a team. Probably we able 2 win becos we have a theme, ie, mole on our face, scarf on our hair, big chunky earrings, big loud necklaces, big belt and most of all, d colourful n striking socks with our high heels.

btw, Matt saw my pic and he thought that's my sister...Hahaha...

Matthias cry when I ( or even Cynthia or grandparents) leave the house. At this age, he will try to follow you everywhere, even into the bathroom. Haha ….

When I reach home, he will start following me; I go up to the bedroom, he follows and I go to toilet, he follows. (I will follow you (follow you) Follow you wherever you may go (uuuu) ……….There isn't an ocean too deep Or mountain so high it can keep Keep us away ) . Sometimes it feels like you have no privacy; you have a "super glue baby" clinging to your leg. But it is a good sign that your baby's brain can now remember images that are not in view. Before that was like "out of sight, out of mind"; now he can remember that you are out of sight and he misses you.

Last nite, I bought Carlin to tuition. As usual, to prevent him from seeing us leave the house, we have to play either 1) ‘hide and seek’ game, or 2) blocking game, once the wall is formed, I leopard crawl out …. ( army training is very useful) . If not hor … I tell u …there will be Rama Drama again. Cry until jia lat jia lat kind.

When I was out and on the way, my wife SMs me saying that he was searching for me and then suddenly shoot one question, ‘where is pa pa?’ . This is thrilling becos he haven’t start talking in sentences yet. Hmmm ....! he is so adorable.

swimming part 2
Aloysius say that Uncle Charles is good and he doesn’t want to go to Sunday swimming lesson liao. Why I ask ? ( 奇怪 ) . ‘The coach always scold people one’. Well, is it true as I observed after so many weeks. The coach is not the patient type. Carlin also kena a few times and cried. Once I ask Carlin ‘do u enjoy the Swim lesson?’ “No”, same reason.


Ok, back to finding swim coach. ( Sometimes I think I want to be a coach myself…wonder is it easy to get a cert or not. ). Few days later, Charles called me and say he decided to stop the lesson with his existing students and wanted to teach Aloysius and Carlin ( plus one more ) . PTL …. It is done! Coach found! Next month they will start learning from Coach Charles.

swimming Part 1
The kids, Aloysius and Carlin, has been learning swimming from this coach since April. Recently, I found out that theirs’ stroke is not perfect. Especially Carlin, she seem like moving very ss..low ss…low in the water.

Every week, I will accompany them to the pool and when they swim I usually just relak one korner and do my own things like reading, listen to mp3 or suntan. At first, I thought maybe she don’t have enough strength to kick or what. Later I found out that she is actually not kicking correctly. I thought better change the coach, coach like boh chap bo hew la, week in week out still the same.

Called some school to enquiry but still cannot find one with right timing. Look high and low ….. finally….feel like calling Charles. First thought is to call him to correct their stroke only as he is quite busy with work and presently coaching 3 children. The trial first lesson was good and the kids enjoy it. He managed to correct the stroke for both of them.

( Still havn’t find the right coach yet …. )

Our love Ones
Quite recently, my oldest son Aloysius asked me a question :-

Aloy : Mom, when is Jesus coming?
Me : Soon
Aloy : When exactly?
Me : Very soon, exact date I dun know
Aloy : So, when Jesus come, what will happen to 'gong gong' and 'mah mah'?
Me : They will be in hell becos they dun hv Jesus yet
Aloy : So sad...I want to see them in Heaven
Me : Yes, me too. Why dun you ask them to go church
Aloy : Aiyah, mommy you ask lah
Me : I asked many times already, but they refused
Aloy : ....(so sad face, almost gg 2 cry)...
Me : ok, we pray 2 Jesus and let Jesus take care of them, ok.
Aloy : ok

Early dis morning (abt 6am), it was so hot that I woke up and then cannot get to sleep. Then, dis incident brought back to my mind and I was asking myself, How 2 get my parents saved??? Looking back, I've tried bringing them 2 evangelistic meetings, invited them 2 church... But no progress. (Sigh!)
Around 9+ in d morning, I read thru' d devotion page by NCC and 2 my surprise, God is speaking 2 me. He is so.......good, he listen 2 our cry, our heart. God's word says in Acts 16:31, "So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” When God got you saved, He didn’t just have you in mind — He had your whole family in mind!
Wow, I'm full of joy upon receiving d reminder from HIM. HE is my TOTAL assurance. And once again, I juz got to relax n relax n let HIM do the job. Salvation is on its way.... Hallelujah! PTL! All glory For JESUS!

Boy new specs

Yes. Aloysius has juz got a pair of spectacles...sigh. On 16 Jul '06, he collected his new specs and starts to wear it on Mon 17. It's never a mother wish for my kids to wear specs at such a young age. For me, I only started wearing specs during my poly days, abt 18 yrs old. Now adays, kids r exposed to computer, TV, GB, TV games, etc... unlike our times, to hv a TV at home is a bonus. Even if we can watch, it is like 1-2 hrs per day at the most. The new generations kids r juz too....bless wif advance technology. The olden days, we played alot of "traditional" games like "5 stones, chatek, skipping, beh long, etc" and we stayed in Kampong wif lots of fresh air, trees all around. Now, I believe that his eyesight will improve (A friend told me dat his kid eyesight improve aft Believing God's word). I know it will apply to his too (Now, control him on his playing time over d computer n GB). All Glory to God!

Tribute to my grandma
Browsing through my computer’s folder, I came across this photos of my grandma with my sons. It was taken on her Birthday last year. In fact, this is the last photos taken before she passed on, 6 July 2005, to be with the Lord.

I don’t know she was a believer until I saw that it was a Christian wake that day I went down. Later I found out that it was my big Uncle’s wife that brought her to church. PTL.

I don’t really know all the facts about her but only knows she was a strong woman. After grandpa passed away ( when mom was very young ), she single handed took care and raised 6 children (include my mom). She was very fierce too ….accordingly to my mom..

All of us were taken care by her when we were young. She would call us to do house-hold chores and then reward us with $$. Big sitting room, I think is 50 cents , small room 20 cents, wash toilet 10 cents etc .. I always lost to my brother and cousins one, only kena the small room …haha.

Her last wish is to see all her children come to know the Lord. Amen grandma !!

Y'day, Matt brought 2 me a pkt of strawberry milk n ask me 2 open 4 him. I refuse n make formula milk 4 him instead. He make a lot of noise abt it, but I insisted. After d big "hu ha", he hv no choice cos mom says "no" n he put back d pkt of milk to d cabinet. It comforts me 2 see him so independent but there r times where dis "independent behavior" can drive me up d wall. Whatever it is, I'm juz gg 2 commit dis special child into d Lord's hand.

Alright… ok. Great.

This year didn’t watch a single match. Partly becos no SCV …. And after I heard my favorite team, Brazil, out …. Lagi sian. It doesn’t matter who hold the cup now.

In 4 years time till the next world cup. Maybe we'll have Aloysius and Matthias watching with daddy.

由始至终...Believing
The just shall live by faith (Rm 1:17)....That's how Ps Mark started off his preaching on last Sunday. I enjoyed the message very much. He's so c0mical, and real. I like this part he said "When U r at peace wif God, even ur enemies will be at Peace wif U as God will turn EVERYTHING, d whole situation around 4 U". OH man, isn't God Good. I juz love Jesus !

On d CROSS, HE can righteously bless Us, we dun have to ask God but we have Authority over everything and every situation. Amen! Ooooo....How not to fall in Love wif Him...

Here a chinese song which reflect my feelings....He's My Peace, My Comfort, My Healer, He bore my sins, my pains, my stress, my disappointment....HE TOUCH MY HEART!

WoRds of Encouragement
Eversince I started receiving the daily devotion from NCC, I'm very encouraged by Ps Prince message. Constantly, it reminds me of d CROSS, wat Jesus has done, d finished Work. Each day, we have different experience, whether it's wif the kids, ur spouse, friends, or even our parents, one thing I'm able to remain stress free is becos of JESUS. He gives me d strength and HIS Words r medicine 2 me. I've learnt to de-stress by soaking myself in HIS Words...Meditate on it.
I've my anger still, lazy, will speak my mind as usual, sometimes can be very very direct. I'm still learning and for me, it's a process that I've to go thru' and I believe God will mould and shape me to be a better person. I've so much to say but I'm juz lost for words and have very limited vocab too.Maybe will post more of my feelings and views in future post.

Afternoon Service

Morning I was conducting a workshop in my company. Half way through, a colleague walked out to make some phone call. I kind of pause the workshop to wait for him, after a while he walked back to the room. I told him “it’s ok to attend to more important things”, I say jokingly… “ if u miss the morning one, u can always come back again for the afternoon service.” In state of saying workshop or training , I say ‘service’. You know what?? everyone in the room start L(ing)OL , ( may be some ROFL(ing)). Somebody say “Hallelujah”, (Lift up hand some more), some say “Aman Aman !!! ”. ( most of them non-believer la ). Feel the love coming…. Cannot tahan them… ( jerk jerk) I love my colleagues.

Ok got to go for the afternoon ‘service’ liao.

说话
Time really flies. Matt is 23mths gg 24 mths in August. He is a smart boy. In terms of speech, he is slower. I know people are concern but I'm not at all worried. To me, he is showing some progress. I believe he is juz like his older brother and sister. They register words in their brain and then one fine day... sentences will juz shoot out from their mouth. As far as I'm concern, he can call us (PaPa, Me, Gong gong, ....). When he wants milk, he will say "nan nan", "我要", "Yes". Most impt is that he understands what we say. Above all, we trust God for his progress in all areas. "Let Go and Let God" --- It works always as God never fails us.

ReSorT + SwiMmiNg



We've been talking abt d Animal resort recently. Today, we finally bring our kids together wif Lee's and Wong's. Our kids were excited.
We meet in d morning to have our Breakfast at the famous Jalan Kayu Roti Prata, then proceed to d animal resort. The kids get to feed the rabbits, goose, tortoise....etc....Little Matt initially was scared of d rabbit (his 1st time seeing it) but later was ok wif it. When we see d Woodstock, we laughed as we remembered JOSH encounter wif it. Poor chap! (woodstock, I mean) all alone to itself while d rest of d animals have company.
After d resort, we proceed to Ada's condo for a swim. The pool was nice and windy. We have a good time of fellowship. The kids enjoyed the most playing wif each other. We have such good times to enjoy together as a family. It's good to unwind n relax. Praise God for everything.
